The Inverness Hotel Serves up New Made to Order Cooking Series

Professional Chefs and Beverage Mixologists Share Kitchen Secrets in Private Sessions

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – May 12, 2008 – In a time when comfort foods, local produce and gourmet cooking have been elevated to a glorified status, The Inverness Hotel launches Culinary Creations, a multi-course cooking series that showcases the distinctive culinary talents of Executive Chef Anthony Sinese, Pastry Chef Ariel Pourrieux and Beverage Mixologist Noland Dunnan. This culinary package carves out three private sessions for local and visiting gourmands to work alongside each chef and learn coveted kitchen secrets to prepare, cook and serve their edible masterpiece. Culinary Creations includes a two-night stay in a deluxe hotel room for visiting epicureans, while local foodies can opt to book the instructions without accommodations. The series is available starting June 1 and will be offered upon request only.

Culinary Creations – A Distinctive Edible Series

The precision of cooking on a grand scale is legendary and restaurant chefs have devised many tricks of the trade that make it possible for every dish to meet expectations. From recipe creation, food selection and preparation, to task delegation, proper utensils and equipment and presentation, the secrets to this kitchen dance can be applied to any size cooking area and number of guests. Unlike typical cooking classes, Culinary Creations takes the caliber of instruction to new heights by offering one-on-one, private instruction with each chef in the hotel's professional grade kitchen. Guests can select to make whatever entrée or appetizer they wish to prepare, while the beverage and dessert course will feature a pre-selected medley of seasonal and regional favorites. For example, the beverage menu will include drinks like the Rocky Mountain Rum Runner, Dutch Blue Martini and Flying Dutchman. The dessert menu will feature items like crème brulee, wedding cake for beginners, cream puffs, éclairs, jam, jellies and dessert sauces.

"In some ways, old is new in cooking, and home cooking sensibilities are being revived and embellished with regional or international nuances" said Sinese. "This series encourages cooks at all levels to incorporate flavors, ingredients and cooking methods garnered from their travels or local region to refresh and enhance their favorite dishes or new creations. By integrating a beverage and dessert element into this cooking series, we give guests the opportunity to transform a good meal into an indulging and complementary culinary experience."

With nearly 16 years of professional culinary experience, Executive Chef Sinese leads the ongoing development and execution of The Inverness Hotel’s restaurant transformation into a seasonal progressive American cuisine-dining destination.
